Three-Stage Grind Technology to Liquefy Foods
The Evolution Excel food waste disposer also features a MultiGrind Plus system that virtually liquefies food matter before it flows safely to your sewage system. This three-stage grind technology combines a GrindShear ring, a Tri-Action Lug system, and an Undercutter Disk to finely grind foods and prevent clogs and jams. As a result, you can use the Evolution Excel to dispose of a variety of tough-to-grind foods, including celery, corncobs, chicken bones, fruit rinds, coffee grounds, and potato peels.
Powerful Induction Motor for Optimal Performance
Along with MultiGrind Plus technology, the Evolution Excel contains a heavy-duty, 1 horsepower Dura-Drive induction motor for powerful yet quiet performance. An auto-reverse grind mechanism helps prevent jams, while an electronic Jam Sensor circuit detects jams and automatically increases the machine’s torque by 500 percent to break through them.
Sound-Reducing Technology for Quiet Operation
Thanks to InSinkErator’s SoundSeal Plus system and Quiet Collar sink baffle, the Evolution Excel is at least 60 percent quieter than typical food waste disposers–making it possible to hold a conversation, using normal voices, with the disposer running in the same room. This patented technology includes superior insulation around the motor, an anti-vibration sink mount, and an anti-vibration tailpipe to prevent sound transmission from vibrations. The patented sink baffle also helps prevent sound from escaping the throat of the disposer.
Quick Lock Sink Mount for Easy Installation
Like all InSinkErator food waste disposers, to simplify the installation process, the Evolution Excel sports a three-bolt Quick Lock sink mount made of stainless steel. If you have an existing food waste disposer, you can likely just twist it off and twist on the Evolution Excel. With Quick Lock, replacing one InSinkErator disposer with another is easy.
Economical and Environmentally Friendly
Compared with other installed kitchen appliances, food waste disposers cost little to operate. InSinkErator Evolution disposers use an average of just one gallon of water per person per day, or less than 1 percent of a typical household’s total water consumption. They also use an average of three to four kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which typically amounts to less than 50 cents.
In addition, food waste disposers offer an environmentally responsible alternative to simply sticking food waste in the garbage can.
